Privacy Policy
1) Who we are
FixMyBad (“we”, “us”) is the mobile app that helps you generate and edit apology drafts from the text you provide.

2) What this policy covers
This policy covers the FixMyBad iOS and Android apps, and any support communications related to the app.
3) Data we collect
We keep collection minimal. Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Content you provide: the text you type or paste (what happened, what you want to say) and the options you choose (who it’s for, vibe, length).
- Generated content: the drafts the app produces, plus edits you make if you choose to save them.
- App + device info: app version, device type/OS, language, and an anonymous app identifier used to run the app and prevent abuse.
- Purchase information: if you buy tokens, Apple/Google process the payment. We receive transaction/receipt confirmation needed to credit your tokens.
- Support messages: if you email us, we receive what you send (and any attachments).
We do not ask for your contacts, photos, or direct access to your messaging apps.
4) How we use your data
- To generate drafts and run core features.
- To maintain token balances and restore purchases.
- To provide support and respond to requests.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and spam.
- To improve app reliability (e.g., fixing bugs).
5) Processing needed to generate drafts
When you generate an apology, the text you provide is processed by our text-generation system (which may run on our servers and/or vetted service providers) so the app can return a draft. We use your input to produce the output you requested.
6) Sharing of data
We share data only when needed to operate the app:
- Service providers: hosting/infra, text-generation processing, and technical support tools (processors acting on our instructions).
- App stores: Apple and Google handle payments. We receive confirmation needed to credit tokens.
- Legal: if required by law or to protect users and the service.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to run third‑party ads, and we do not knowingly “track” you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising purposes.
7) Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Saved drafts/history are kept until you delete them in the app, or you ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records are kept as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and restoring purchases.
- Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve the issue.
8) Your choices & data deletion
You can delete saved content in-app. If you want us to delete data associated with your anonymous app identifier, contact us and include the phrase “FixMyBad Data Deletion” in the subject line.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data (for example under UK/EU GDPR). We’ll respond as required by law.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk (encryption in transit, access controls, and least‑privilege handling).
10) Children
FixMyBad is not intended for children under 13 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11) International transfers
If you use the app outside the country where our systems operate, your data may be processed in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and we may notify you in-app when changes are significant.
